Rockefeller incorporated Standard Oil.\n\n1920 The League of Nations was established as the Treaty of Versailles went into effect.\n \n1946 The first General Assembly of the United Nations convened in London.\n\n1957 Harold Macmillan became prime minister of Great Britain following the resignation of Anthony Eden.\n \n1964 The Beatles\' first album in the United States, \"Introducing the Beatles,\" was released.\n\n1967 Republican Edward W. Brooke of Massachusetts, the first black elected to the U.S. Senate by popular vote, took his seat.\n\n1971 \"Masterpiece Theatre\" premiered on PBS.\n\n1978 The Soviet Union launched two cosmonauts aboard a Soyuz capsule for a rendezvous with the Salyut VI space laboratory.\n \n1984 The United States and the Vatican established full diplomatic relations for the first time in more than a century.\n\n2000 America Online agreed to buy Time-Warner for $162 billion.\n\n2003 North Korea withdrew from a global treaty barring it from making nuclear weapons.\n\n2005 CBS issued a damning independent review of mistakes related to a \"60 Minutes Wednesday\" report on President George W. Bush\'s National Guard service and fired three news executives and a producer for their \"myopic zeal\" in rushing it to air.\n\n2006 Iran resumed nuclear research two years after halting the work to avoid possible U.N. economic sanctions. The move was denounced by the United States and European governments.\n\n2007 President George W. Bush announced he would send 21,500 additional U.S. forces to Iraq to quell violence there. \n\nASU Student Radio is celebrating it\'s 25th year being the Sun Devil\'s Original Alternative! For more info check out http://www.theblaze1260.com.\n\n\"Don\'t expect a lot from this show.\" Was the unofficial motto of KASR VIDEO, which made a pleasant surprise when we actually knocked out a great show! The program was a weekly 2 hour public access offshoot of the Arizona State University\'s original alternative radio station that aired in Phoenix. The music video show featured rarely seen videos and \"new\" music not in the \"main stream.\" Along with non-conventional interviews it became a decent way to nurse a hangover with the midnight party crowd. These clips are edited as a sort of best of; minus the music videos.
