Many experimental airplanes can be viewed at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB). These planes can be viewed flying over the base, on the runways, and in the Air and Space Museum. \n\nHere a map of WPAFB is first shown. Aircraft shown include the Tacit Blue, possible Laser Airplane, X-13 Vertijet, Fa989, AC-130A Hercules, YF-F fighter jet, YF-5A, X-3, Martin X-24B and U-2.\n\nThe Tacit Blue is a mystery aircraft. It is likely prototype for the B-2. It is a stealth aircraft, having an innovative stealth design. It has a weird appearance and, like the aurora, it is mysterious. It looks like an airplane with a flat board in the middle that sticks out on all sides. The nose is flat and rounded. It appears to no longer be used. It is sometimes associated with the Aurora project, the development of a secret hypersonic aircraft capable of Mach 6 (6 times the speed of sound). For example, early visualizations of the Aurora looked like the Tacit Blue aircraft. Perhaps a portion of the Aurora mythology (it\'s existence is unconfirmed) is based on scraps of information about the Tacit Blue.
